Students in the Marion Independent School District have the opportunity to begin band in fifth grade. All fifth graders may participate. Students begin learning their instruments in the fall, and perform in their first concert in December. Students play every instrument from flute to tuba! They have small group lessons once a week, and practice as a band twice a week. Students play out of their lesson book, as well as band music.
