The program was developed because we believe that some students need specialized instruction and learning experiences to reach their creative potential. The students chosen for the ELP were selected by a group of their teachers based on the student's proficiencies in nonverbal skills and logical thinking. Personal characteristics such as dependability, motivation, a willingness to complete work assignments independently were also considered. Students will leave their regular classrooms to attend this program. The program will meet once a week for 80 minutes. CAPS will run for 8 weeks. |
