The program was developed because we believe that some students need specialized instruction and learning experiences to reach their fullest potential. The students chosen for the ELP were selected by a group of their teachers based on the student's proficiencies in reading, language arts, logical thinking, and math. Personal characteristics such as dependability, motivation, a willingness to complete work assignments independently were also considered. Students will leave their regular classrooms to attend this program. The program will meet once a week for 80 minutes. The ELP program will incorporate interest development, thinking skills, and independent thinking investigations. 4th 5th |
